Liverpool supporters have demanded a Champions League final rematch against Real Madrid after it was revealed today that Loris Karius suffered a concussion during the tie in Kiev.

The German goalkeeper let in two howlers in the game that ended 3-1 to Real Madrid.

His first was throwing the ball into the path of Real striker Karim Benzema - and in the second half, his side only 2-1 down, he let a Gareth Bale effort from long range slip between his hands and into the net, killing off any chance of Jurgen Klopp's men lifting silverware that night.

However, footage later showed that Los Blancos captain Sergio Ramos clashed with the 24-year-old moments before the his first mistake allowed Benzema to open the scoring. It looked as though the Spainard's elbow clanked Karius on the head, with the referee unaware.

The defender is already Liverpool's enemy number one for injuring Mohamed Salah just after the half hour mark on the day. He seemed to have pulled the Egyptian King down by wrapping his arm around him, forcing Salah off prematurely.

ESPN revealed today that at the behest of the Liverpool medical team, Karius went to see a top specialist in Boston, America.

The results of the German's consultancy with doctor Ross Zafonte came through earlier today and a statement claimed Karius suffered from "visual spatial dysfunction" after the incident and such deficits would have affected his performance during the final.

Now outraged Reds fans have taken to social media to demand a rematch with Real.

It's unlikely that they'll get one, of course. They're now just another team who have succumbed to serial winners Real Madrid and their morally questionable ways of winning trophies.

Even still, would you like to see a re-match in the interest of fairness? Let us know in the comments section.
