Paul Pogba has upset Manchester United supporters with his response after being asked about his future at the club.

The midfielder was asked by Canal+ as per French publication L'Equipe if he had plans to continue at Man United, the side he's served at ever since his £89.3 million move in 2015.

He responded: "You're never sure of anything," before he replied: ""Contractually, it's on, yes."

This has angered several Red Devils supporters no end, some of who couldn't believe he said it.

Man United are going through a bit of a crisis at the moment. In manager Jose Mourinho's second season, they did not win any trophies, finishing second in the Premier League, getting knocked out of the Champions League to Sevilla, and just recently, a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the most hapless and mild-mannered F.A cup final ever seen.

With the great club's close rivals doing so well this year - Man City obliterated the Premier League and Liverpool have a Champions League final to look forward to - it's understandable why so many Man United fans are extremely frustrated.

Pogba is a symbolic of Man United currently. Clearly talented, the 25-year-old cannot seem to find a level of consistency. That said, some of his criticism aimed at the player has been unfair. He plays in spells of brilliance, rather than dictating a game throughout and this can make it seem as if he's not putting in the effort required.

What's next for Man United? Reports have surfaced that Mourinho wants five new signings worth £250 million in the summer, in order to catch up to rivals City, and presumably find more success in Europe next season.

It will be Mourinho's third season in charge. During his first, he won the Europa League, League Cup and finished sixth. In some respects, there has been progression but it's understandable why Man United supporters have grown frustrated.
