The sea of Reds fans whipped up a massive raucous before the match, emulating a genuine European atmosphere.

It was a hype that lived up to the occasion, the match finishing 5-2 and Mohamed Salah stealing the show, tearing his former side apart with two goals and as many assists in inevitable fashion.
No English team has a more European feel than Liverpool. Under Jurgen Klopp's tenure, the club is effortlessly re-establishing European nights with the magic and pandemonium that now seem a distant memory.
Their old-school stadium is another reason behind their incredible atmosphere.
Situated in an eponymously named town just outside the city-centre, Anfield towers above the surrounding residential area. The Kop end of Anfield is the where the noise emanates from. It's one of the most famous ends in football, perhaps rivalled only by Borussia Dortmund's Yellow Wall.
There are exciting times ahead for Liverpool, and thankfully for those who remember the need for considerable passion, there's no suggestion that their ascension is going to stop anytime soon.
