Have you got your breath back yet? No, either have we.

It seemed, for a period at least, that all hope had been lost. England level 1-1 with Columbia after extra-time, and were going into penalties with the South American side, and we all know what this meant. We have been here plenty times before and got absolutely burnt.

When Eric Dier stepped up to take his spot-kick, hearts were in mouths. The whole nation watched on, almost helplessly, as the Spurs man put the ball on the spot.

What was to come next wasn't part of the script, though. Dier scored. England jumped up out of their seats and screamed and cried with delight.

ITV had their pundits filmed. Gary Neville, Lee Dixon and Ian Wright can be seen in this video below, going completely nuts at the Three Lions brilliantly cruising to victory.

And people loved it.

Now England face Sweden on Saturday. A Sweden side who have had pockets of fluid football, but for the most part, have been unconvincing in front of goal, despite their wins and progress to the quarterfinals.

But for now, the focus will be back on England. It's time to celebrate, drink it in and milk up those Columbia tears. You can scruff up the penalty spot all you want, Kane is still going to smash it in and we're still going to bring it home.
