Chris Smalling has scored and assisted more than Manchester United's Jesse Lingard this season despite being a central defender.
Smalling scored his second goal of the season in Roma's 3-0 victory over Brescia this afternoon.
The on loan United defender also notched two assists for Gianluca Mancini and Edin Dzeko respectively.

That means his tally for the season so far is two goals and two assists.
This is in comparison to Lingard who's only assist this season came against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup and he is yet to score.

Fans on Twitter are loving 'Smaldini' and his Italian adventure so far as Roma sit fourth in Serie A.

It's not good news for Lingard who has endured a miserable 2019 for United.
He ended 2018 in promising form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but hasn't kicked on this year.
He's gone nearly a whole calendar year without being involved in a Premier League goal.
He's also seen himself slip out of the Untied first team this season following the arrival of Dan James and emergence of academy talent Mason Greenwood.
Smalling on the other hand is loving life this season after arriving in Italy.

He joined the Italian giants on loan on deadline day and has become one of their first choice defenders.
His form has even caught the eye of Juventus.
It was reported earlier this month that they could try and nick Smalling from Roma should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decide to sell the 30-year-old.
Perhaps a move from United is what Smalling needed to kick-start his career.
