The upcoming season is right around the corner. We are just weeks away from the Premier League kicking off and we're just itching to get our first taste of football of the new season.
But as if that wasn't enough, around this time, too, comes along a brand new instalment of the FIFA franchise.
FIFA has truly upped their game (excuse the pun) in recent years. They listened to their audience's shouts that the game was just becoming a re-hash and they implemented The Journey, where we follow - and play as - the young Alex Hunter, as he makes it from playing in the park in a London estate with his friends to becoming a global superstar.
But it appears FIFA aren't stopping there with their innovations. By all accounts, they will be adding yet another mode to the series. This one 'Survival Mode' has appeared to be confirmed in a German publication.
The concept seems very much similar to FIFA Street's Last Man Standing, a mini-game in which every goal resulted in a reduction in players of the opposing team.

The article suggests that the rules are near enough the same of this version. Should it be a success, FIFA could well forge their very own Call of Duty: Zombies - a mini-game of huge popularity.
As if news of FIFA 19's release wasn't good enough already, EA have gone and done this. Hats off to you.
