Antoine Griezmann might be known for kooky celebrations - such as the hotline bling and the Fortnite - but he's also a fantastic player who's scored at least twenty-five goals for Atletico Madrid across his four seasons at the Wanda Metropolitano.

He's done brilliantly for Atleti, but the trouble with banging in goals in a league that has formidable opponents is that soon they start to take notice and attempt to sign you themselves. This is exactly what Barcelona have done, according to Catalan outlet Sport. The publication is so confident of a deal they splashed the news across their front-page. They say that the switch should be officially announced soon, with the fee to be around £101 million pounds.

Negotiations appear to be underway between the two sides. Barcelona are willing to pay more than the player's get-out-clause to smooth things over, but they also insist that the payments are to be paid in instalments.

The report states that Griezmann has made up his mind about his future: he wants to have everything sorted before the World Cup, he wants to leave Atletico on a high by winning the Europa League with them, and he wants his next venture to be at the Nou Camp.

News of the transfer has upset some of the attacker's teammates, however.

Madrid's Europa League cup final match is against French side Marseille on Wednesday night. It's thought that an announcement could come from Greizmann after the game, with a victory for the Spanish side being the perfect exit for the striker.

There had been previous stories about Griezmann and a possible move away. Most famously last season, the French international was linked with a move to Old Trafford, but he turned down the move and decided to stay at Atletico. He's enjoyed a stellar campaign with the side, scoring 27 times in 46 appearances.
