Manchester City and Liverpool square off at Wembley with the first silverware of the new season up for grabs.

Pep Guardiola's domestic treble winners face the European champions from Merseyside at Wembley.

If last season's title race is anything to go by - this game could go all the way on Sunday.

Will there be extra-time and penalties if it's level?

If the sides are level after 90 minutes there will not be extra-time and it goes straight to penalties.

The FA experimented with the ABBA system previously, but the traditional penalty-shootout system has since been restored.

What is the Community Shield?

Formerly the Charity Shield, this match takes place a week before the Premier League starts as a traditional curtain raiser.

The Premier League champions traditionally take on the FA Cup winners in the one-off match at Wembley.

In this case, however, as Manchester City won both trophies, they face second-placed Premier League finishers Liverpool.
