In the 58th minute, Ronaldo was subbed on. In the 80th minute, Ronaldo scored an absolute screamer and then two minutes later, Ronaldo was sent off for diving.

This sequence of events pretty much sums up how crazy the Supercopa de España Final was on Sunday evening.

Minutes before being sent off for a dive, Cristiano Ronaldo gave us a glimpse of what's to come this season.

The 32-year-old took it past Gerard Pique to smash it past Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who had no chance of reaching Ronaldo's arrowing effort.

What a finish:

It was an incredible tie full of emotion, entertainment and unfortunately, diving.

Luis Suarez tumbled in the box and the referee awarded Barcelona with a questionable penalty. Lionel Messi converted from the spot, but Los Blancos weren't done just yet.

As you can see in the above footage, Cristiano Ronaldo smashed in a beautiful effort from 25 yards out, but seconds later, the Portuguese international was booked for his elaborate celebration.

To the disgust of Ronaldo, he was then sent off after a dive in the penalty area.

All in all it was a great game, just cut out the diving next time, lads.
