The story of the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf is a story that has been told countless times.
However, 20 years ago today, the story unfolded at Ashton Gate in a mascot vs mascots fight.
At half-time, fans were treated to an impromptu bout as Wolverhampton Wanderers' mascot Wolfie and Bristol City's Three Little Pigs.

Bizarrely, the Three Little Pigs were only at Ashton Gate for the day to promote a local double glazing firm.
At half time of the contest, Wolfie roamed the field when confronted by the pigs, who circled the Wolves mascot.

Wolfie, clearly feeling threatened, slammed his paw into the face of one of the pigs, before chaos ensued.
The quartet continued to fight as stewards swarmed the pitch, as chants of "Come on Wolfie" echoed from the away end.

The four were sent off in disgrace, as Bristol City's actual mascot at the time City Cat watched on in bemusement.

The contest itself was also filled with incident as Wolves stormed to a 6-1 victory with Wolves forward David Connolly bagging 4 for himself.
Connolly himself could feel hard done by that his feat isn't remembered as fondly as the halftime scrap.
Football mascots in the Midlands have always drawn a reaction, with this seasons being Championship side West Bromwich Albion's bizarre boiler.

West Brom's combi boiler, who has been dubbed "Boiler Man" by the Hawthorns faithful, has become a cult figure over the early months of the season.
In fact, he's even got his own merchandise.
One thing is for certain, 'Boiler Man' will have to do a lot to become as infamous as Wolfie and the Three Little Pigs.
