WATCH: 14 Seconds Of Alexis Sanchez Epitomises Arsenal's Season

It's been a long old season for the Gunners.

If it wasn't for Alexis Sanchez Arsenal's Premier League campaign may just have been as poor as Manchester United's or maybe worse. 14 seconds of Sanchez from tonight sums up their season.

It's been yet another frustrating season for Arsenal, but then I could have written that most seasons in the last 13 and it would have been no less true.

Once again the Gunners started the season well to give the fans hope before those title chances died long before the season was over.

That of course gives them enough time to get a few good results towards the end of the season to give the fans new hope ahead of the next season, rinse and repeat.

Although based on the many empty seats at the Emirates tonight maybe that renewed hope won't come back around this term.

Tonight Wenger's men took on Sunderland and needed a win to keep alive their slim hopes of Champions League football next season and 14 seconds in the first half summed up their season.

It was another frustrating night for the north London club as they failed to break down the already relegated Black Cats for much of the night.

They required a brace from the Chilean former Barcelona winger in order to get the three points that they required to hang on to the slim hopes of being in Europe's elite club competition next season.

Wenger's future is under pressure whilst there are still questions about what will happen with Sanchez as he only has one year left on his current deal at the end of this term.

Fans will be desperate to keep the player and rightly so!
