Juventus enter the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey

Juventus enter the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey

He's wanted by several clubs.

Juventus have contacted Arsenal over a potential deal for midfielder Thomas Partey, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Partey, 30, played a key role last season for Arsenal as they came close to winning the Premier League.

But the Ghana international could be sold this summer to raise transfer funds for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have had two bids rejected by West Ham for Declan Rice but are expected to return with a third offer.

The Gunners could be prepared to allow Partey to leave even if they fail to sign Rice.

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder, who has scored five goals in 99 appearances for Arsenal since joining from the Spanish side in 2020, has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia.

90min claim Arsenal have given Partey permission to explore a move to the Saudi Pro League.

It is claimed that the Gunners are even hopeful of turning a profit on the midfielder, three years after his £45m move from Atletico.

Juventus 'contact Arsenal over Partey'

Transfer expert Romano has now reported that Italian giants Juventus are also interested in signing Partey this summer.

It comes amid uncertainty over Adrien Rabiot's future, with the France international out of contract at the end of the month and yet to commit his future to the club amid reported interest from Manchester United.

"Juventus have also asked info for Thomas Partey after Saudi clubs also approaching the midfielder," tweeted Romano.

"Saudi clubs are prepared to bid €40m in three instalments but nothing agreed yet on player side.

"Juventus are informed, waiting for Rabiot's future too."

Partey may not be the only midfielder heading for the exit this summer as Granit Xhaka has agreed a deal to join Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

But Arsenal are not prepared to sanction his departure until they have signed a replacement for the Switzerland international.
