If you're going to take a shot at Conor McGregor then you have to be ready to take one back. Perhaps that's the rule Floyd Mayweather will learn from the pairs first press conference.

Since before the fight was confirmed the big question in the matchup of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is 'can McGregor actually land shots on Mayweather?'

There's a reason the boxer with the immaculate 49-0 record used to be called 'Pretty Boy' and that's because try as they might most boxers couldn't land a proper glove on him.

So coming up against a man who's never boxed professionally he's surely untouchable? Well in the ring maybe but not out of it.

Mayweather is now known as 'Money' and as soon as he got the chance to mention a bit of green he brought it up but it kind of backfired.

The American reportedly owes the IRS quite a bit of money, according to sports business journalists Darren Rovell:

So when Mayweather decided to mock his opponent about how the 'Notorious' only a 'seven figure fighter' whilst he's a nine figure fighter and then produce a cheque it was McGregor's time to pounce:

First McGregor pointed out that the cheque, weirdly produced from Mayweather's bag, was for the taxman before telling his opponent that he 'won't do shit.'

Mayweather had taken to Instagram earlier to deny the claims that he owed money to the IRS:

It's going to be a very fun back and forth between the two stars and there's still six weeks to go!
