Just a few days removed from the massive confirmation of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, the first undercard fighter has been announced.

After months of public negotiations, all parties eventually agreed to terms with Mayweather coming out of retirement to fight the UFC lightweight champion on August 26th from the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both fighters took to social media to confirm the fight. And in typical McGregor fashion he poked fun of the undefeated boxer by posting an image of his father.

With Mayweather vs. McGregor topping the bill, Team Mayweather are in control of the undercard. And the CEO of Mayweather Promotion Leonard Ellerbe has confirmed that Savannah Marshall will make her professional debut on the Vegas card.

Marshall, 26, turned her back on the amateur ranks to pursue a pro career. With many promoters eyeing up her talents, it was ultimately Mayweather promotions who secured her services.

"Speaking of Savannah, she doesn't know this so I'll break this, she will make her pro debut on that card," Ellerbe told Sky Sports.

"She doesn't know that and I haven't spoken to her about that, but that's the plan. She's going to make her pro debut on that card."

"She really appreciated the whole GB team taking great care of her and she's ready for the next level of progression and that's obviously turning pro. We're very excited. We've got some very special things planned for her in the future."

After a decorated amateur background for Team GB and England - which included a gold medal in both the 2012 World Championships and the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Marshall now sets her sights on a pro world title.

"We're really excited. She's a tremendous talent and we're very glad to welcome her into the Mayweather Promotions stable. She's an outstanding fighter, she's a very classy young lady, and we're very happy to be able to work with her."

Who's set to join Marshall?

Well, Mayweather's prodigy Gervonta Davis is seemingly poised to make an appearance while former super-middleweight champion Badou Jack could also be on the bill.

August 26th can't come soon enough.
