Wilder Reacts To Joshua Being Booed At The Whyte Vs. Chisora Fight

The unified heavyweight king wasn't the most popular person at the O2 Arena.

A chorus of boo's greeted Anthony Joshua after he was non-committal on re-matching Dillian Whyte, and news spread fast with Deontay Wilder reacting.

Whyte, 30, secured a dramatic and stunning victory against heavyweight rival, Dereck Chisora.

With the Brixton-boxer trailing on two of the three judges score-card, he delivered a thunderous left-hook on Chisora's chin, knocking him out clean in the 11th round.

Whyte is now a clear front-runner to face Joshua on April 13th at Wembley Stadium. But he's only getting a shot at world honours if Wilder fights Fury.

"If Deontay Wilder is serious and he is going to fight Tyson Fury and doesn't want to become undisputed champion, Dillian you will get a shot," Joshua said.

That was met with groans from fans inside the O2 Arena.

"Dillian's an idiot, because I showed him some respect. I knocked him clean out when we fought (in 2015), but I said let's forget that because we have both improved so let's prove who is the better fighter now," Joshua added.

Wilder, who was ringside in New York for Dominic Breazeale's fight, spoke to Fight Hype and mentioned Fury as well as the unified heavyweight champion.

"I heard they were booing the s*** out of Joshua," the undefeated American said.

"I got some texts or whatever saying the whole entire arena was booing him."

The WBC holder remains hellbent on running back his fight vs. Fury following their epic meeting in Los Angeles earlier in the month.

"Right now, it's all about enjoying the holidays, going into the New Year, enjoying the New Year, then getting back at it," he added.

"So stay tuned. It's an exciting time for boxing and for boxing fans.

"I'm going with Tyson Fury. For sure. We've got to do the rematch. It gotta come right back. It was a controversial fight and when it's like that you've got to come back."
