IT'S ON - Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will square-off on December 1st for the WBC heavyweight world title.

The match-up had been set following Fury's points victory against Francesco Pianeta in August. After recording his 27th professional victory, a bout versus Wilder was announced with the pair facing off inside the ring.

A few weeks removed from that meeting in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Wilder has taken to social media to confirm the fight is ON:

"The two best heavyweights competing against each other, the best fighting the best, giving the people what they want," he said on PBC's Twitter channel.

"I know you have got a big punch, I know you are unbeaten, I know you have got a big mouth, and I know you want to win, but you don't want it like I do," Fury said in a video addressing Wilder on social media.

"You can't beat me, I will out heart you, I will force my will upon you until you quit and that is a promise. This chin is going nowhere, this chin will absorb all your power and I'll detonate."

A venue is still to be determined for the heavyweight super-fight. According to reports, Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, is a front runner to host Wilder vs. Fury.

Both undefeated heavyweights have signed their contracts, and they've also agreed to go on a promotional tour for the fight.

Press conference shenanigans will start on October 1st in London before moving onto the States with New York and Los Angeles staging media events.

The 32-year-old American will make the eighth defence of his WBC belt on December 1st. He was last in action in March where he defeated Luiz Ortiz in devastating fashion.

Fury has recorded back-to-back victories since returning to the sport.
