Deontay Wilder flattened the previously unbeaten Luis Ortiz, and then sent a message to heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua.

The American made a successful defence of his WBC world title by stopping the dangerous Cuban in the 10th round, improving his professional record to 40-0 in the process which includes 39 brutal finishes.

After putting away Ortiz, Wilder issued a message to the WBA (super) and IBF world champion.

"My goal is to unify. They're in no rush to fight me because I am the baddest man on the planet," Wilder said.

"I proved that tonight to solidify my position at the top of the food chain.

"Soon there will be one champion, one face, one name - and he go by the name of Deontay Wilder.

Joshua is slated to defend his belts against the unbeaten Kiwi, who puts his WBO title on the line, at the end of the month, and Wilder talked up the unification fight.

"I am ready right now. I want to unify. I am ready whenever those guys are," he added in the post-fight press conference via Boxing Scene.

Wilder likes Parker's chances of causing a shock, while claiming it's not about 'muscles'.

"I think Parker has a 100 percent chance of winning that fight, he just has to be smart and stick with the game plan.

"In this ring it's not about how much a person weighs, it's not about how big a person's muscles are, it's all about their heart," he added.

The 32-year-old Alabama native will also be present in Cardiff, Wales, to view the match-up in person.

Please boxing gods, makes Wilder vs. Joshua in 2018.
