It's all well and good showboating like Tyson Fury in between the ropes but you have to back it up - something boxer Tommy Broadbent did not do in his fight against Florian Marku on Saturday night.
The two slugged it out in a welterweight contest on the Daniel Dubois-Nathan Gorman undercard at the 02 Arena in London and it was Algerian Marku who prevailed thanks in part to his opponent's obsession taunting.
BT Sport have released highlights from the footage and it's literally just Broadbent imitating Fury and Billy Joe Saunders at the same time as he encouraged his opponent to come forward.
But the 32-year old got too caught up in it all and ended up getting done by a nice body shot in the fourth and final round to hand him a sixth career defeat.
Marku performed a celebratory dance in front of Broadbent after the referee stopped the fight but the pair did then show respect at the end of the bout.
Another example of why cockiness in the squared circle isn't always the way to go happened in March when Sabri Sediri toyed with Sam Maxwell throughout their WBO European super lightweight title fight.

It was a bout dominated by Sediri but in the final seconds, after plenty of taunting and showboating in the latter stages, a determined Maxwell pulled off a devastating two-punch combo to become champion.
