Tyson Fury is currently getting ready for arguably the biggest heavyweight boxing fight since he took on Wladimir Klitschko three years ago. But being on the verge of facing Deontay Wilder hasn't stopped Fury being the ultimate good samaritan.

On Wednesday night Tyson Fury claimed that he's out to prove that he is the best boxer in the world and the baddest man on the planet and that he would do what no one in the professional ranks has managed and beat Deontay Wilder.

Of course if Wilder were to beat Fury then he would be lineal world champion and the only man to have beaten the British fighter in the professional ranks.

However even with the massive fight on the very close horizon Fury hasn't stopped thinking about those around him. Trainer Ben Davidson revealed to iFL TV that the boxer had given his shoes to a homeless man in LA whose feet were bleeding.

Confirming the story Fury said:

"No I'm not here to blow my own trumpet. I think Ben [Davison] told you already last night.

"What happened was, we were in Starbucks having a coffee minding our own business just looking out the window and there was this old fella outside no shoes on him - one shoe off, one foot bleeding.

"Everyone was looking at him like 'get rid of him,' he walked off and I thought that's somebody's child, that's a human being.

"As he walked off through the crowd I heard somebody say to me, 'give him your shoes, go and give him them shoes on your feet,' I was like 'yeah'."

"I ran after him, me and Hughie [Fury] and he's gone, 'where you going,' I said 'I'm giving this man me shoes.'

"He [Hughie] said, 'what you doing, idiot, you've got no shoes on down Hollywood Boulevard you'll get something in your feet.'

"I said 'there's a fella that needs them more than I do'.

"So I chased him down and said, 'hey sir, excuse me', and he [the homeless man] said, 'what have I done - I haven't done anything,' he thought I was going to hit him or something, he must be used to getting punched or whatever.

"So I said I want you to have these shoes, they're a brand new pair of these bad boys.

"I just walked down the street. He probably sold them later on for five dollars."

Fury went on to explain that he hadn't wanted to tell the story, and didn't want any recognition for it. He'd only shared his account of the story because his trainer had already revealed the story to the interviewer.

The boxer is looking in great shape and on excellent form ahead of the fight with Wilder in the early hours of Sunday morning for those in England.

Wilder will not be on the receiving end of any charity come the first bell.
