Anthony Joshua's next fight 'leaked' as opponent and venue named

Anthony Joshua demolished Francis Ngannou last month.

Anthony Joshua’s next fight has been leaked as opponent and venue named.

Last month, AJ returned to the boxing ring in spectacular style at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Brit was up against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou and dispatched his opponent inside two rounds with a devastating blow.

After the fight, a rejuvenated Joshua said: “When I saw the fight with Fury, I thought damn, this guy could fight, I wanted a piece of that.

“He's an inspiration, a great champion, and this shouldn't take away from his capabilities. He can come again. I told him he shouldn't leave boxing. He's two fights in, and he's fought the best.”

Now, a lot of talk has been about whether Joshua will fight the winner of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk, which is set to take place on May 18.

The pair were originally scheduled to fight in February but the bout was delayed after Fury suffered a cut above his eye during a sparring session.

However, Derek Chisora has claimed that the former Olympic gold medalist will in fact fight the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic at Wembley later this year.

As reported by talkSPORT, Chisora told iFL TV: “He(Joshua) will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and (Filip) Hrgovic in Wembley (Stadium).”

After Joshua’s victory against Ngannou, his promoter Eddie Hearn claimed that the Brit is the best heavyweight in the world.

He said: “If we won this fight then he would fight the winner of Fury v Usyk. You're looking at the number one heavyweight in the world.

“Tyson Fury please beat Usyk because you will get the biggest fight in the history of the sport. As a fighter, he's an inspiration to young people.

“What I said would happen, happened. He destroyed Francis Ngannou. He's a beast and I cannot wait for him to beat Tyson Fury.”
