Some people 'win' Halloween by turning up in a costume based on TV shows, movies or real-life incidents that have recently caught the public imagination, while others get points for putting in the effort to make a really intricate outfit.

But then there are those people who utilise every aspect of their body to make a particularly epic costume which blows everyone away.

Enter Paralympian Josh Sundquist, who has produced some of the best looks year on year.

He was diagnosed with bone cancer at the tender age of nine, and had to have his left leg amputated. But he hasn't let that stop him from making the US Paralympic Ski Team and the US Amputee Soccer Team.

He decided to show off his 2017 costume, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, by jumping around on his tail at a trampoline park.

But if you thought this get-up is impressive, then check out his efforts from years gone by.

The 33-year-old has previously taken on Lumière from Beauty and the Beast, an IHOP restaurant sign, a leg lamp, a huge cookie missing a leg and a flamingo that transforms before your very eyes.

He wrote on Instagram that anything can provide him with his inspiration: "Earlier that year I'd spotted an ostrich at the zoo and thought, 'Hey that looks like me. If I was, you know, doing a handstand on my crutches'. A few minutes later, I walked by the flamingos and thought, 'Even better'.

"I'm always looking for things that are shaped like me. Which seems to be an instinctive human behaviour. We are always looking for ourselves - in mirrors, on the side of shiny buildings when we walk by on the sidewalk."

Josh also told Huffington Post that he's been doing this for a few years. "I started making these costumes seven years ago to make my friends laugh at Halloween parties," he said.

"Which is still why I make them - it's just that recently the internet has made that party much, much bigger. Which is great because I feel like I've been put on earth to delight and entertain people.

"Sometimes I do that on a stage as a motivational speaker and comedian. At Halloween, I do that by wearing creative costumes."

Awesome to see him owning his body and making the best of it, while also absolutely shredding everyone else's Halloween costumes. We salute you, Josh.
