In recent times there has been several worrying stories of police brutality in America against black people that have led to deaths. Each moment has been as shocking as the last. Seattle Seahawks star Michael Bennett has revealed he nearly befell the same fate.
The names Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and Charleena Lyles have unfortunately become synonymous with disgusting events in the U.S with police shooting or choking each of the named to death for little reason.
To most it felt that none of the deceased had done anything wrong and certainly nothing to receive such brutal and fatal reaction from those who are there to serve the people, not to hurt them.

Seattle Seahawks defensive end took to Twitter today to reveal a story of the night of the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight where he was pinned to the ground by a police officer following the sound of gunfire and feared for his life as he was held at gunpoint:

Based on previous situations that have taken place Bennett was fortunate to be taken into the police car before more lasting damage was done to him and further fortunate that he could be identified as a former Super Bowl winner.
